Hyde and Seek

Went for a walk in Hyde Park with the boyfriend last weekend and it is beautiful this time of the year. The leaves are just turning yellow and the weather is nice and cool. With what little sunshine is left for the rest of this month I decided I'd take this Aztec print dress out. Am loving the varying lengths of this dress and of course the colourful prints.

Little Leopard

Last weekend Tim and I decided we'd avoid the traffic in the city and head down to Northbridge instead. While the weather was perfect for grilling humans alive, I am so glad we went out because we ended up in the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts. Relieved of the extreme heat outside, we found a few interesting pieces to admire for the next hour or so. The fact that it was free entree made it an even better find! 

Speaking of a great find, I got this cute leopard dress from Forever New for just $12

The centre had a bar and sitting area which exuded that homely, cosy feeling. And of course, I am absolutely in love with the colourful wall art three photos above.

It was overall a fantastic place to relax and pass time. My only regret is that I didnt take down the names of the artists who contributed to this amazing set =(

Bar 399

Just a quick post on a casual Monday night at Bar 399 in Northbridge. A friend of mine, Lauren, was participating in a cocktail competition at the venue and it was so much fun watching the contestants make delicious and exotic drinks. Please excuse the blurry, noisy quality of the images as I was taking shots in low lighting without an external flash meh....

Cheers! It's the weekend =) Had a great day with the boyfriend <3 Tim and I decided to head down to the city to chill and watch a movie. 

I adore the cute print and the lacy peter pan collar on this dress (and those tiny delicate buttons!)

Boot wedges to bring the present into perspective. 

On a totally different topic,  this is a very delicious spicy bean pie from Zekka Cafe, which we stumbled upon in King's St on the way to the city. Much to our delight it had an urban, eclectic atmosphere and very very good coffee. Formerly a men's clothing store the previous owners left the cafe with some interesting art pieces (which I conveniently did not photograph except for one). It is a very modern venue with lots of natural lighting, wood and space. Overall it was a fantastic find!

We watched Chronicle at the Piccadilly Cinemas and I love how the old theatre has so much character.

Into the Blue

 

The boyfriend getting into it

One of my favorite things to do when I am home is to laze around at the islands. Spend the day snorkeling in the South China Sea with colorful fish, collecting sea shells and day dreaming under tropical trees. I am in love with the variant blues of our beautiful waters.
